What Is An Edible Actually Made Of
A quality mushroom edible starts with ground dried Psilocybe cubensis. That powder is blended into a fat base (chocolate), a gelatin or pectin matrix (gummies), or a liquid solvent (syrup, honey, coffee). Every finished piece is portioned to a target dose — typically 250mg, 500mg, or 1g dried-equivalent per piece — and packaged with total psilocybin content and per-piece dose printed on the label.

Dosing Edibles Correctly

All three deliver the same psilocybin per equivalent gram — the difference is onset speed, taste, and experience curve. Drinks and syrups onset fastest (15–30 minutes) because psilocybin absorbs through the stomach lining without needing digestion. Gummies onset second-fastest (20–45 minutes) because the sugar matrix dissolves quickly. Chocolates take 20–40 minutes on empty stomach, longer with food, and deliver a warm rounded curve thanks to cocoa fat and theobromine.
Can I combine edibles?
Combining product formats (a chocolate square plus a gummy) is fine as long as you tally the total dose. Do not chase a slow onset by adding more — wait a full 90 minutes before considering a redose. If onset feels weaker than expected, food in your stomach may be slowing absorption; give it another 30 minutes before adding.
How long do edibles keep?
